I've got the CSO starter and the rulebook. Not a bad system. It's too bad there's no real linked campaigning a la Necromunda... I'd think the CSO Rangers would be a good addition, if you don't just want more troopers or special weapons. They have some nasty special abilities... ![]() If I played APAC I'd probably go with the Bishoujo Senshi, for some covert death dealing. |

I wasn't saying necesarily a copy of necromunda, but having a system where your games form a continuous narrative and characters improve in skills or die can be really compelling. To me, one off games are not nearly as much fun. Aberrant seems really "story focused", so I doubt they'd come up with a dynamic, player driven campaign. It's a shame, though. I think people have brought the concept up on the boards, at very least with linked battles where you get new points to spend in between, and where dead troops stay dead. Methinks it wouldn't be too hard to create a Rezolution a la Necromunda system. Gangs of Mega City One by Mongoose Publishing successfully did this, incorporating a very similar to necromunda campaign system with their streamlined Judge Dread game. |

Oh, I agree...the Necromunda system for campaigns could be a good starting point for rolling your own set of rules that would more 'fit' the Rezolution story arc. |

It's a real shame that Mongoose Publishing didn't promote Gangs of Mega-City One well enough. The game is really good, and most people who have played Necromunda say that GOMC1 is a much better game. However, very few people seem to know about it... and the sales were not superb (on either side of the atlantic) which is why some items are going out of print now. It's a real shame to see such a great game fall by the wayside. I'll continue to play it for a long time personally. Back on topic, I do own both the CSO and the Dravani sets... though I wish I'd waited on the CSO. It's hard to get up the motivation to paint all the figures and play though without a campaign system. With just one off skirmishes there isn't really any reward for winning, beyond winning itself. The individual games of GOMC1 are great, but it's the progression of your gang that really makes the game addictive. That little juve that you brought along just to make up the numbers, who goes on to kill a few tough enemies, and slowly works his way up the ranks to eventually become a lietenant... or possibly even the new Top Dog! Of course, there is the downside that the same guy finally gets to be Top Dog and then eats a grenade and loses his head... but what happens matters. If you just kept the same gang, it would be great to beat someone, but you wouldn't really care if someone died, as long as you won... because the next game, everyone would be alive again. In a campaign, it sucks to lose that ganger that you have grown fond of. Arabin |

"You will be charged $1.00 per minute for this premium call. If you wish to continue, please wait on the line." Two minutes, later, they connect with someone. "Hi, you have reached Gamer Addicts R Us, what's on your mind?" About eight minutes of them waffling on, you tell them: "It's okay to be an addict. I recommend you put down the phone for now, paint some minis, play a game, then call us back and tell us how you feel." Bam, you just made $10... enough for a blister pack ![]() Arabin |

Please, Please, PLEASE... When you open the phone lines just don't let my wife know. She'll have me tied down in a chair and hold the phone herself untill I've been "cured". ![]() |

Rez system is sexy and the background fluff is good but like all above I just wish it had a campaign system to enchance it flavour. Watched Ghost in the Shell 2 last night, pretty but boring - Tried to be an Art House film but the timing was out (and I don't me just the dubbing), the film sacrificed its strong point - action. But as I was watching it I was thinking that Rez gameplay has it down pat. Hacking, firefights and Craft - all sexiness in one package. I'm hoping that in a year or two there will be enough fluff and demand for a Campaign system. The Minis themselves? Well I've stated before and do so again - Paper Standiees are the bomb. No painting, no real storage issues, cost factor so low that you want to cry about all your unpainted lead and plastic. Best of all - When your flamer hits boy does these babies burn!
