actually, I was one of the few people I know who thought the second one sucked [insert random animal/alien parts here] (then again, I am also one of the least demented people I know ![]() I dont really like where the second one took the story, they turned it from an apocaliptic horror/thriller into an action movie (not that it's that far off, but still)... The first one is still good though... Coincedentally, my last MAJOR crush was on a girl who ended up on a bus trip to DC with me (I live in minneapolis). Out in DC, a group of us ended up watching RE 1, and she kept on ranting about how NOT SCARY it was ![]() (earlier that day I got to show her the ropes of a james bond game on PS2, and subsequently hand her, and everyone else that was there, their hindquarters in the multiplayer mode... ah... good times...) |

Thanks for the visual! Definitely looks like it'll work for what I had in mind. The sets will function quite well as an expansion to my current modern terrain building plans. Once I get deeper into UM, I'll make sure to pester you all for building tips and ideas ![]() |

Ran my own first game of Spycraft 2.0 yesterday - all I can say is that the more I go over the system the more I like it. In particular - Action dice are awarded for attempting something cool and nifty, and the award is made before the attempt is made - so the player has the die available to make the attempt successful if needed. The GM gets and uses Action dice to boost his own rolls, but they are not unlimited - making it a lot easier to balance a scenario. And all sorts of wonderful things to spend action dice on! Much cooler than the D20 Modern version, and you get a lot more of them. The NPC rules are very nice, the best that I have seen for a D20 type game. Mooks, Henchmen and Masterminds all are handled slightly differently, with most using up a lot less space than the equivelant character in D20 Modern (with the exception of the Mastermind, who may or may not be statted out as a full blown character. Meanwhile, Mooks (properly called 'Minions' in the game) can be wiped out by the dozen. ![]() All sorts of optional rules that can be added to a campaign or scenario. So far, so good. The Auld Grump - who went from an all night game straight into an 11.5 hour workday... He is way too old for this s***! |

The second game was set for tomorrow, but I am stuck working. (60 hours this week. Ugh.) Has anyone else played a game of SC2? What were your experiences? (If I can't play this week myself then maybe I can do so vicariously through the games of others...) The Auld Grump *EDIT* Last week was the first week in more than a month where I had less than 10 hours of overtime... |
