Well, looks like after the Regency Space game I will be running a game set in The Blight by Richard Pett. I made the mistake of buying the PDF a few months ago, with a 30% off coupon.... The PDF was 935 pages. And I am realizing that I should have sprung for the hardcover. The thing is meaty. Even by my standards, the setting is pretty danged dark. I will be using some Himmelveil terrain, and some modern pieces - Necroblock in particular. The Blight does have steam power, but is more likely to rely on necromancy and golem crafting. Nasty, nasty place. I love it. ![]() The Auld Grump |

I am sticking with Pathfinder - I still like the system, and have no real urge to convert to 5e. Nothing against 5e - but I have a deep investment in Pathfinder. (Second edition Pathfinder... not so much.) I am comfortable with the system, and can get it to do what I want. My wife can get it to do what she wants as well - sometimes by telling me what she wants to do, and asking me how to do it. (Mostly player characters - but right now she is running Eberron in the Pathfinder system. I am freakin' loving her game!) That said, today Humble Bundle just started a Bundle that features the 5e version of The Blight at the $15 level - an incredible bargain. https://www.humblebundle.com/books/5e-d ... es-horrors I cannot endorse this highly enough - The Blight may well be my all time favorite published setting. And for $15? Good gods! Grab it while you can! There is also a fair amount of 'great minds think alike' - it is pretty obvious that both Richard Pett and I borrow from many of the same sources.... ![]() My Regency Space game has a scene where the PCs need to break into a prison hulk. The Blight has a scene where the PCs need to escape from a prison hulk. The Auld Grump |

It would be funny if - as breaking IN - the one group passed through a reality anomaly into an ancient prison in a magical world and have to fight their way back OUT ! LOL (Or did I get that backwards? *shrug*) |

Oh, I'm definitely picking that bundle up. I love Humble Bundle so much, and really, only for the book bundles. I'm not much of a video gamer. |
