I just picked up FFG's Star Wars: Age of Rebellion Beginner Game. I am looking forward to using it with my boys and, if they like it, exploring the other lines or grabbing the full version of the game. Anyone else playing this (or Edge of the Empire or Force and Destiny)? |

I'm running an Edge of the Empire game currently and incorporate elements from rebellion and destiny into it. |

I've played it a fair bit. My players had an absolute blast. You can run the game any way you like, action or role play, etc. Its really easy to improvise and get stuff together. (Awkward in that there isn't a power scale to follow like many other RPGs.) Some of the stories I posed on FFG were the most liked. And I was only running prefab adventures. The system was really capable of handling a big variety in combat. And the luck dice totally force you to improvise. The last fight of the day... our Pit Droid (Painted imperial black... thief\electronic warfare) chases down a bad guy on a space station. Roll to hit... critical hit with 5 bad luck. "The gangster who's running away from you is hit square in the back. His lifeless body smears blood has it slides up to the feet of the station security troops. I think we'll end the session there." |

Nice! Thanks for sharing. We played the prefab session that comes with Force and Destiny. My eldest was totally into it. My youngest gave it about 10 minutes. I enjoyed it and look forward trying out more in the near future. |

One of my small groups just started playing Star Wars Saga Edition - I'm doing a Zabrek Scout. Our GM is running an alternate history with us hundreds of years before the Episode movies... |
