Anyone else play the Pathfinder adventure card game? My nine year old son and I play it together and we are having a blast. It's a great way to get that RPG adventure feel together without a DM and with reasonably simple rules. |

Correct this is no where close to a competing product. is the Base set and is the full set of stuff to support the game. |

I purchased the base set, but the only time I tried playing it, it was really dang boring to me. And didn't feel anything like role playing to me. But I've heard good things about it from others. |

I played it twice and loved it. One player was a little disappointed because his hand was only useful for himself (no way to help others, and thus to play outside his turn), and he had no luck with his exploration (not much to do), but all in all, we all had fun. I'm waiting for our next session(s). in the meantime, I simplified the game for my 6 year old daughter (with self drawn cards) and she too loves it

I will say the adventure path is much better then the introductory adventure. I also may be biased because my kids get so excited if we win or lose every turn. The joy of a nine year old finding a magic sword is something I've long forgotten. |

I also have it and found it a bit boring first time I play (I played solo) but it got better on subsequent plays as I got to know more of what I was doing. I'll be doing a playthrough on my YouTube tabletop channel sometime in the future. |

I got to play a few games last night... I think that who you play with has a big effect on how much you enjoy it - with just two players it was kind of dull, with four it was a heck of a lot better. By the end of that second game we were hamming it up. Definitely not a replacement for a real game, but fun... maybe about equal with HeroQuest. The Auld Grump |

Gump I have to agree here. Who you play with makes a huge difference. The more people get into the game and kibitz at the table the more fun the game is. The other thing I've noticed with a few play throughts is how different some of the classes feel in play. It's pretty cool considering how small the differences really are between characters. |
