Well, I think that this will be the next adventure path that I run for Pathfinder - doing prep now. Step one - I panted up my old box of GW Tomb Kings. Skeletal archers, skeletal cavalry, skeletal mounted archers, and some chariots.... Step 2 - I painted up the undead giant from the Bones Kickstarter. Step 3 - I painted up the lich priest from Warhammer... 5e? 6e? I think? Just before I completely gave up on Warhammer. Step 4 - I need to paint up the mummies from the Bones Kickstarter Step 5 - Pharaoh's Descent - I need to print it up, cut it out, and build it. Step 6 - Undead dragon... which one?... (I have a lot of undead dragons....) Decisions.... Part of me really wants to run this with the Guns Everywhere option from Ultimate Combat - I blame The Mummy. I will likely talk myself out of it though. (One of my players will almost certainly try - there is one die hard 'No Guns in D&D!' type.) Downside - [whinge]I wanna playyyyy![/whinge] Seriously, I am having fun in Serpent's Skull... but.... The Auld Grump - as soon as I get the first adventure in Mummy's Mask... that door will be closed. |

What makes you so interested in this AP? Just wondering because I'm totally on the fence thinking if I should cancel my subscription... I love undead... But a old dead pharaoh that wants to take over the world? Haven't we seen that movie already? |

A friend played a Swashbuckler while I played a Bloodrager in December when we played through Dragon's Demand. I typically did more damage, but he was pretty close. And he could do all kinds of interesting things that I couldn't do. A surprisingly effective class. |

So Gump, now that you have the start of the AP in your hands, any thoughts here? There was lots of tomb raiding so far but the story still hasn't grabbed me. Im wondering if it's just my attitude or if the first entry was just ehhh. |

I got it the other day and only skimmed it. I especially went through the summary of the AP storyline. I'm kinda "meh" too with this one. Ooh. Another ancient evil that's now rising from its supposed death. Yay. Maybe it's just that I'm not that intrigued by a campaign based around an Egyptian-themed culture. |

Ungh... foiled on two fronts.... Megan has decided that she much prefers playing to running - but she does plan on finishing the Serpent's Skull AP... And one of the players just gave me Razor Coast... 500 pages of piratey goodness.... (And another excuse to build the Maiden....) Still want to play/run Mummy's Mask, but... pirates... weresharks... pirate weresharks.... Mutant zombie cannibal pygmies..... The Auld Grump - yeah, pirates vs. mummies.... |
