To all the Americans, Happy Thanksgiving.
FYI, We don't celebrate Thanskgiving down in our part of the world. Instead, we pack our family, Christmas and summer holidays all into one. Which makes this time of year the (truly) silly season here. Everyone is rushing about:
- trying to finish the work year before the long break
- organising the annual family get together, Christmas and summer holidays all at the same time
- Christmas shopping
- having Christmas and end of year work parties
- and generally going nuts (jsut about every buiness is run off it;s feet at thsi tiem of year, especially panel beaters).
I've got to the point I'd rather just chill out and enjoy summer.
I've been in the US over Thanksgiving and Christmas and, for all that it gets busy for you guys, it's much preferable to the chaos that happens here - that and all the food, decorations and events makes sense in winter.
