I've already shared it on Facebook as I have a 'friend' who laughs at D&D. |

I was at Comicon... It was pretty cool. My daughter dressed as a zombie and carried a lunch bag, "Live human Organs For Transplant". She got a lot of laughs. Richard Taylor (Weta NZ) was also awesome. He was really nice and he was also doing book signings. I picked up the artwork to District 9. Carrie Fisher is getting old... she keeps her dog with her at all times. Walter Konig is really really old. John Barrowman was a really nice guy to meet. I learned that Christopher Sarandon did the voice of Jack Skelington. |

I found it to be a great video and will be watching it again to double check if it is okay to show my middle school students. Sometimes they need a pep talk about the fact that they aren't the only ones that are different in this world. |

My girls (10 and 12 now, where does the time go?) will see this, but they are already proud of their nerdiness. Somehow I convinced them early on that the opinions of their peers are meaningless, and they now embrace their weirdness and even try to use to keep others at a distance. Strange young ladies, yes, but adamant in their love of Star Wars, World of Warcraft, and all things strange (or even just socially unacceptable, like interesting foreign cuisine.) I am happy that Wil has been on this crusade to legitimize nerdiness for the past several years. I am glad that Star Wars, Star Trek, and my comic book heroes of my youth are all still relevant, perhaps even more so now than back in the day. I could go on and on, but I'm sure y'all have some papercraft projects to get back to ![]() |
