You would think he'd have learned to hunt, fish, or forage rather than steal food. He obviously had no plan for anything but theft. Even so, since he was into stealing things, why the heck didn't he nick some tools, nails, and scrap wood so he could have some furniture ... rustic as it would be. Now a woman hermit would have seen to that. She would definitely have had a detailed plan for everything!
