| Post subject: | World Of Warcraft? |
Looking through the "What Are You Playing 2013" topic, I noticed no one out there seems to be playing World Of Warcraft. I started playing about a year ago, so it is still pretty new and exciting for me. It is my first ever MMORPG, first computer game of any kind really. Is the game just shunned, or has everyone pretty much burnt out on it over the last 8 years? |

Yeah, I really liked it, but after 8 years I just stopped playing one day. There was no particular reason, It just happened. It was one of my favorites, but I guess I just lost interest. Its weird too, because I really enjoyed the Mists of Pandaria expansion. |

I enjoyed playing. I started back when it was just WoW (no expansions). I played until Litch King came out. I started playing the Original Guild Wars and dropped my WoW subscription. To me it wasn't worth the $15 a month anymore. I'm not saying it's a bad game, it just wasn't worth the fee to play. Currently I'm playing GW 2. It's a lot of fun and no monthly fees. |

Played WoW since beta. After Burning Crusade, the game went downhill. Everything became WAY too easy. They changed it from an adventure game into a theme park ride, IMO. |

I played for a couple years. Had a Level 75 Blood Elf Paladin. Now I don't have enough time to dedicate to a game that has a monthly fee. I would be paying around $15/hour to play... |

It's a beautiful game, but when I spent 4 hrs on it one night and couldn't get 1 mission done (mostly just running around and trying to collect a group) I retired it. |

I've played most of the MMOs out there. WoW was okay for a while, but it got repetitive quickly. And almost everything else is either a clone/knock-off or tries to do things so differently that it's tough to get into. The writing for the quests and such is always soooo bad in MMOs that I find myself bored by most after a bit. Of course, I'll admit that I'm an alt-aholic, so I almost never get a character to max level. |

Whenever I feel the MMO bug anymore, I jump on Monster Hunter. Doesn't pretend to have a plot or a world you can change. Just play with your friends and have fun! |
