So, time has passed - What RPGs and Wargames Are You Playing? RPGs: Pathfinder Spycraft 2.0 Wargames: Mordheim Kings of War Boardgames: Zombicide Arkham Horror Dwarf King's Hold Warhammer Quest I have a feeling that I am forgetting something, but this will do as a start. I haven't played WARMACHINE in about a year - Kings of War is closer to what I like. I may need to do a Steampunk roster for the game.... Played two games of Dreadball, not my cuppa, but a good game. Keep waffling on Malifaux - I think that if they had the ability to create your own heroes and a way to track experience over the campaign then I would be playing. As it is... that niche is filled better by Mordheim. The Auld Grump |

RPGs 4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons: I continue to try and maintain a campaign, but we haven't played since Thanksgiving-ish... Wargames I don't actually *play* wargames anymore due to lack of time and opponents, but I pretend to prepare for DBA 3.0 (New Kingdom Egyptians and Early Libyans) Flying Lead (all assortment of 15mm leftovers,) and Flying Lead (K'kree vs. Quar.) I also hope to prepare for QILS Heroes Of Urartia (sp?) Computer Games World of Warcraft: it's become our family game. My wife plays. My children play (much to the chagrin of their mother.) My wife is addicted ro Blood Elf alts as much as the Blood Elves themselves are addicted to mana. She hit 90 before I did. My daughters are PvP princesses lol! |

RPGs: DnD 4e (straight) DnD 4e (heavily house ruled) Tri-Power (home brew) By far the most entertaining game is my son's creation Tri-Power, - One shot games, pick three powers (out of his 15 to choose from) add your own flavor text, 20hp d20's 1d8 damage +3 to hit. Last game I was a toad/gorilla named R-R-R-Robert. And I was the normal one. |

Thats about it. Oh, and skylanders if I can get my Wii fixed. Finally have all 32 of the originals. |

Nothing at the moment for anything - building my paper environments in the meantime... RPGs: Should be picking up something soon with a new group starting at the FLGS. May be able to start Traveller(5) late spring. Wargaming: OGRE - sometime in May(?) when my KS edition treads upon my doorstep. Computer: Nope, uh-uh, ah-ah-ah!, negative, no-way, nevahr, nooo... far too many other things on my life's plate to even consider this category. If I ever did have the time I would leazrn toward Red Dead Redemption - love the graphics and storyline. |

On running Crimson Throne - one thing that I strongly suggest is working out the XP from encounters ahead of time. While money has been spot on the XP has been a trifle low. So the team has been lagging about a level behind expectations since the beginning. Add more mooks - some guards at helps, for example. Or add some filler scenarios - the team are - not hard to add some extra jobs. The Auld Grump, still my favorite Pathfinder Adventure Path. |

Yeah, when I played it, we were consistently 1 level below the planned level for each module, but I thought that was due to our DM, who has always had an antagonistic DM vs. the players mentality. We were poor as all heck, too, with very few magic items by the time we got to module #5. (where the party ended up in a TPK when I was out of town) I think we missed some sections of some modules, though, and the DM completely skipped DMing the journey from Thanks for the tip, Grump. |

I thought I had carved out enough free time to play Skyrim finally, but it would appear that my son has better plans for me. He wants me to work with him on a computer game called "Mousetropolis", so that's what I'll be spending some of my free time doing. He is happy with "graphics" akin to Dwarf Fortress and Angband, so at least I won't *need* to make lots of fancy graphics for him! |
