As I mentioned on I am working on creating the buildings for an Iron Kingdoms scenario using World Works terrain. Tonight I began the project. Part one 'The House that 'Jacks Built' The first project will be the Steamjacks' roundhouse, when finished it will be 16 x 16 inches. It has a partial hexagon section, with stalls for the 'jacks to be garaged in, and a square workshop and office area. If I had a website I would provide an image or link to the map at the least, but right now I do not. 1. Converting the map and selecting bits. First I looked over the map for the roundhouse to see what will need changing, and what World Works sets will be needed, and which of those will need to be changed or modified... First I simplified the map, things that look good looking at the map can be a bear to build. That done a quick glance tells me that the bulk can be done with Interior Works: Castles & Keeps. The round section will require five 4 inch wall sections. I will be wanting to add two triangular tops with windows to each of these, so that each 4 inch section will look like this (sort of): **/\/\ * |* *| * |* *| Each character height is a 10' tall story. Each of the diagonal walls will have a pair of stalls and front arches. The second floor of the office portion will be accessed by stairs, again from Castles & Keeps, or by a catwalk reached by the stairs from Inns & Pubs (I have not quite decided which, but if I can figure out some supports the catwalk has an edge - I like fights on multiple levels with choke points...). Tomorrow I design the triangular sections with windows, unless I can find some to scavenge in another set, then print and cut out the pieces. The Auld Grump |

Not sure what all you've got planned and coming along...but do take a long hard look at this particular Urban Mayhem preview: Methinks your rail needs are going to be provided for. |
