Finally saw a physical copy of Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG....

I could totally build that with Lost Halls of the Dwarven Kings....

A nice little obstacle for level 3 heroes or so - broken stairway, how to get across the cavern to the doors below and across the chasm?

Played a little during the playtest, but I have not picked up a physical copy for myself yet.

Anyone else given it a try?

J & J bought the print copy that I am looking at right now.... We are all leaning towards Pathfinder Beginner's Box as a better fit for what they want.

Consensus - none of us care anymore. :(

We also found consensus on DCC - looks nice, might be fun, but no hurry to run it. I loaned them my printed PDF of S&W. (They have the PDF themselves - it came

J has been running the Beginners adventures that I wrote up for him. Apparently has for three months now, only got around to mentioning it tonight.

So, hoping for feedback from his players. What works for notes written for me and what works for things that I write for other folks... not the same thing.

I dig DCC. Its my favorite of the retroclones, not that its a straight retroclone, but it oozes old school, and some of my favorite aspects of old school. I love what they've done with magic, and fighter's Mighty Deeds, and luck, and on and on.

Yeah, does look good - but somehow it just didn't grab us.

Maybe because we are actually happy with Pathfinder.

Then again, Jon really likes BECMI, so maybe that was more along the lines of what he was hoping for.
