Hm. Nobody's actually discussed putting on a Christmas or New Year sale.

Sorry about the misunderstanding. The wording in that sales announcement wasn't intended to suggest that there would be a Christmas sale, just that we were doing our big holiday sale in October instead of waiting until late November/early December.
