Got a mailing for Lorefinder - a 3PP supplement for Pathfinder, adding the investigation rules from Gumshoe.

Looks good, so far. The PDF is only about $8, worth it even as a curiosity, but it looks like it holds together pretty well.

But of all the systems out there... Pathfinder and Gumshoe?! I like both, but...?

Anyone else taken a look at it? Impressions?

The Auld Grump, but then the Cthulhu Mythos has already been added to both, so there is at least one common thread....

I suppose someone has to investigate all those dirty political intrigues in the palace and thieve's guild doings in the back alleyways.

I saw a mailer for it, too. Did not strike me as chocolate and peanut butter.

I kinda like what Gumshoe tries to do, and I really like Robin Laws, but I haven't had a really great experience actually playing Gumshoe. I dunno. Maybe we were doing it wrong.

And Pathfinder ... hmm. Just what it needs - more rules.

I positively despise* the concept behind the Gumshoe system, so thanks but no thanks.
