Ben Browder gets a geek cred boost for playing a great Wild West Marshall in a Dr. Who episode.

  Did not recognize Ben under the beard - and did not catch his name in the credits. My bad. Now I know why he seemed familiar. He did a good accent to - that helped throw me off, too. |

The fact that there was nothing, NOTHING special about the "line of rocks and sticks" irks me to no end. It basically kneecapped the whole episode for me. |

Yeah, I think they're trying way, way too hard. So it's all a little stilted, a little over the top in the wrong ways. Dinosaurs was too much about the special effects (never a Dr Who strong point). Mercy was too heavy-handed in the morality (but better overall feel to me). |

I think it'll be "rested" for a while after the 2013 1/2 series. It feels like it's running out of steam to be honest, and with no Confidential to explain what the writers actually wanted to do (Victory of the Daleks being the worst example), it needs slicker writing and less plot arch than it currently has.  I enjoyed this week's saying that, though again the plot holes were of bus size. |

I feel that Amy and Rory will be retired this season and a new co-star will emerge. the actress touted is the one from the 1st episode of the current series. She played the Dalek. it will be interesting on how she joins the series!!! |

The next one is supposed to be their last. I so want Amy to turn out to have a fob watch and be the Rani, and her 1st act to be to kill Rory, but looking at the trailers...

Another episode that was made of pure, uncut STUPID. Almost every single second of it made me stop and say "Wait... what?!" If the critics loved it, it just goes to show that critics must have an excellent view of their own spleens, given the degree to which their craniae are inserted into their rectums... |

Each to their own, I enjoyed the story and series. There is a special quality to a program that has been ongoing for over 40 years. Just like the James Bond series which has been going longer. Or maybe it is the fact they are British programs not american. |
