Leaning towards Curse of the Crimson Throne for my next campaign - plenty of opportunity to leap from rooftop to rooftop, which means either preparing some TLX or some TCL terrain. Because of time and travel constraints I am leaning towards the Terra Clips terrain, though I prefer Terra Linx. Ordering some Plague Doctors from Wargames Foundry, for use as, well... plague doctors. Any suggestions for other character figures, aside from the official Reaper minis? The Auld Grump *EDIT* Whoops! Passed 8,000 posts while I wasn't looking.... |

DDM is almost entirely right out - think of me as a DDM prohibitionist. ![]() WotC did a pretty good job with the larger figures, but the human sized and smaller humanoids look like crap. Not even worth repainting. And now that they are at least temporarily OOP the prices on the secondary market have climbed. The Pathfinder plastics are better, and have enough detail to be worth repainting, but there are not enough of them as of yet. I have the metal for the Queen - my original plan for her was to chop off her legs and make a steam powered caterpillar centaur, but since I am not currently steampunkin' the figure remains as cast. (The caterpillar is a set of prosthetics - the NPC has lost the use of her legs.) The Auld Grump |

Laori needs... something special for a miniature, I think. ![]() Goodness, folks seem to like her.... There is even fan fiction.... ![]() The Auld Grump |

Digging up bits from Missing Persons for some of the sewer encounters. Prebuilding rooms, whether in TLX or TCL, then slapping them together. Had an amusing vision of the party combat wombat as the party face when dealing with NPCs. (She's a nice person, lots of fun... but her diplomacy skills.... ![]() Painting, painting, and more painting.... The Auld Grump |

Started clipping the parts for the Fishery together.... Clip... Clip... Clip... ... ... Aaarrrggghhh! Print, print, print.... I decided that I would rather do it the 'old fashioned way' - with Interior Works, mostly the Pubs set. I just want something permanent! ![]() Also, I can exactly match the plans using IW, but only approximate with TCL. The Auld Grump, but mostly, I just prefer permanent models - this will likely see use in Mordheim after CotCT is finished, anyway. |

How do you have room for permanent builds? I struggle just to find the room to store the modular stuff I build. The only permanent build I can afford to keep around is the Maiden because well it's just too cool not to. |

Adding a few more encounters to the City in Turmoil portion.... One that I have planned is based on an occurrence during a football (soccer) riot - where a funeral was disrupted and the hearse turned over on its side.... The Auld Grump |

Sure enough - the party ended up in the sewers.... Chasing down an otyugh that ate somebody's dog.... They are barely second level - this could go... badly. And for my birthday they got me a really nice giant spider mini from Other Worlds - Hmmm, that face looks... familiar.... I think that they used a funnel web spider as the model.... The Auld Grump |

I finally started running my campaign of the Curse of the Crimson Throne today. For some reason, I always GM for a group where at least 2 of the PCs have moral compasses that blow with the wind. Their best idea so far? Burn down the whole freakin' Fishery where Gaedren Lamm is believed to be living. After they killed the thugs there, of course, they found a way to kill the things living in the water down below and cooked them up for the children. Then, they sent the kids out into the city to act as their eyes and ears to see what all the noise from the rest of the city was about. |
