Just came across a handout I made many, many years ago for a D&D game: Just wondering what handouts (if any) you give and could you spare a photo so we can take a look? ![]() |

I handed out spirit animal stones from a trip I made to Vancouver as souvenirs in game. Sorry, don't have any pics. |

I don't have any pics of them but have given out a few handouts over the years. I have done the burnt page thing. I have done the crumpled paper look. I have not tried the coffee stained look (we don't drink coffee or tea much in my house...don't tell the British side of my family). Related to this, I also use face cards and item cards frequently. |

I love handouts... I've done the burnt paper thing for old notes, npc pictures, Tactile puzzles, Tokens for various thing (Clovers for Leprecan Good luck gifts, for odd foreign currency, etc.) Small flasks of beverages for potions (Yes you have to drink to figure out what it is/use it) and of course maps in made up languages. Some of them the players have really enjoyed and others... Well lets just say I had fun making them at least. |

*laughs* Well, there's one thing to note. If your campaign is set in 1932, and you've got a 1932 news article handout, it really shouldn't be aged 80 years in Photoshop. ![]() |

My avatar here is the first handout I ever gave -- not the actual thing, but the first time I made a picture to give them, rather than just describe. I found it in an old folder about the time I was joining this forum, and it warmed me like an old friend. It was one of the standing stones near the dungeon they were exploring. It was one of about a dozen ways into the dungeon, only 2-3 of which they ever found. Steve |

Handouts are great. I find it much easier to do sci-fi and modern ones than fantasy (wish I'd spent more time trying to draw in art class at school and less time throwing crayons). |
