Free RPG Day is right around the corner on June 16th. http://www.freerpgday.com/ Anyone planning on participating? How so? I have not been able to attend before due to scheduling conflicts despite wanting to go for years. This year I am finally able to attend and am actually planning on running something. This will be the first time I have ever ran anything (or even gamed with) complete strangers. It should be interesting. I am thinking of making up some premade characters for an Eberron 4e game. Any suggestions on any part of the game (running it, character ideas, adventure ideas, etc.) would be appreciated. |

Talae. Go with the pregenerated characters. At least a paragraph, maybe two of back story, with motivations and stats. I used to GM at cons and would have the character sheets all done prior to the con. Leave out the superfluous stuff to aid the players, especially the new ones. Because it is a con, usually with a four hour time limit, you will have to railroad them. Dungeons work well at conventions. lol I have been working on an adventure using the Friar set. Large Inn with a murder. Kind of medieval Clue like. Anyway, good luck. |
