I've played, it's a lot of fun, and that comes from somebody that normally doesn't like boardgames. My buddy's wife is an absolute terror when it comes to this game lol!!!! ![]() |

Ha! My older stepson gave this to me for Christmas, but I've not had the opportunity to play it - for that matter, it's still sealed ![]() Look slike I'll have to find some time and friends to hit the board! Thanks for that video! |

I have not played it, but I have a couple friends who say it's great. None of us own it, but it's been talked about a couple times as a possible pickup. As for the other "Small World" Grump, when I was a kid, the ride broke while we were in there. 40 minutes of my parents trying to keep a 6 year old boy sitting quietly in the "boat" while it's a small world played around us.... It was not my parents favorite part of the trip at all.... And I still don't enjoy that song... |

We really enjoy Smallworld. It is one of those games that is easy enough to pick up every so often without having the pain of relearning the rules, so we tend to play it when we want something simple but engaging. I don't think we have ever had a bad game of it and we always enjoy the combinations of races and attributes that come up. |

It arrived today and I've just played with myself (steady...) to get a grip on how the game flows, forgot a few things while playing, like moving the turn marker, getting extra victory tokens for occupying certain areas or that I don't have to leave one race token everywhere I've been but I eventually remebered. It played quite well. Player 1 had Alchemist Skeletons and then Dragon Master Ghouls. Player 2 had Seafaring Sorcerers and then Forest Ratmen. Player 1 won 87 to 80, it was a close call. ![]() |

Thanks for posting "It's A Dark World", Grump. Of course, I had to repost it on my group's world of Darkness LARP website. And, yes, I have boated through the "It's a Small World" ride down at Disney World... ///subroutine error /// logic sequence: Disney World, Lego World, West World /// filter overload /// image pixillation commence: Full scale 1:1 Deadfall cardstock environment /// endofline |

The board game is pretty decent. I don't like the pre-set board, though. That just makes it feel like every game is kinda similar, for some reason. But they've got TONS of expansions for it and it's pretty darn popular. It's ranked #58 on I own Vinci, the game's predecessor. It's based in Europe and you play one of several civilizations whose abilities are randomly determined during the game. The production quality is much lower with Vinci, but the game feels a bit more like there is more variety than Small World, for some reason. That's just my opinion, though. |

There's a new expansion coming out shortly, , that uses a tile based system so you can create your own board, guess what's on my wish list... ![]() |

Glad to hear it. I'd heard some rumblings that an expansion to that effect was in the works, but it wasn't clear how reliable that rumor was. |
