It looks like Pathfinder will be borrowing a theme from the old Slavers series from 1st edition AD&D - with our heroes beginning with no gear whatsoever.... One of my players has asked me to not read the adventures when they come out - she wants to run the scenarios. I have a foreboding that I will soon have a character with no armor or weapons.... I have been warned that Here Be Pirates. ![]() I have also been warned, in no uncertain terms, 'No Paladins!' ![]() Since this is a pirate themed campaign I am leaning towards Sea Witch from Ultimate Magic. Most likely human or dwarf, with a parrot (treated as a raven) familiar. Or maybe a monkey. Vanderdecken is likely to well known to use as a name.... The Auld Grump |

I would likely go with a smooth-talking, swashbluckler-type. I do like the idea of a monkey familiar though... |

But will there be face slapping by the monkey familiar? Gots to have that for the laughs, right? |

I prefer playing Paladins devoted to fertility gods... and am trying to talk my wife into a pet monkey for the house... |

Hmmm, one of the kids in my teens game wants to try their hand at running Pathfinder - and asked if I would be willing to play. This will be the first time in almost thirty years (?!) that I will be playing in more games than I am running. ![]() Weird feeling. The Auld Grump |

I am thinking about picking up the GameMastery item cards for this adventure. despite playing 4e. The cards seem like they might be useful (I have a number of the generic sets). Thoughts? |
