GOG is having a . A sale that does me no good, since I already have the ones that they carry that I like, they don't have the Gold Box games (that I want), and I avoid most of the rest like they were the plague.... That said - Icewind Dale I & II, Baldur's Gate I & II, and Planescape Torment are worth getting, Temple of Elemental Evil is free, and you can avoid those... other two.... *Shudder.* *EDIT* Neverwinter Nights was left off of the 'Good' list by accident - I played it back when it was a feature of Quantum Link on the Commodore 64. (On an 800 baud modem....) Look around for the 'unofficial' patch for ToEE - it makes the game much, much more playable. The Auld Grump |

I stayed away from the two you listed as bad because of the HORRIBLE reviews everyone gives them both. I have played most of the others. Definitely worth it to any RPG fan to play them. |
