So, has anybody gone to see Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows yet? I am not exactly a fan of the first movie in the series, but I have seen worse. (Contemplates Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century.) Much worse. Worse still, when looking for an image from this series, Google took me to a Holmes/Watson slash site.... (For the record, Holmes/Watson slash has apparently been around since at least 1901 - long before Kirk/Spock....) ![]() The Auld Grump |

Now I like the first one, I though they did a good job of transferring it to the 22nd century. Looking forward to the second. ![]() |

If you are looking for an action movie where you don't have to think, then this Sherlock is fine. To me it was the same old shtick. I did like the end in the last fight. Holmes does his description of each blow in the fight... but Moriarty was a Cambridge boxing champ... and his description kicks in, decidedly not in Holmes favor. Unless Holmes takes one last trick out of his bag. I would have preferred to see MI4. At least it doesn't pretend to be something its not. |

Well, the music was very nice.... Stephen Fry playing Mycroft as an aging quaen, not so much. Would have been nice to see more canon Sherlock Holmes, this sort of fills in as part of The Valley of Fear, but.... Very nice music.... The Auld Grump |
