Yesterday was our scheduled bi-weekly D&D session. Well, is was scheduled as such. Last minute, we had most players drop: one said he had to work and so could come or bring his son, one has family in town for the next two weeks, my wife got called into work, one didn't send any word about it either way and never showed and one started a new work schedule that made it so she can't play anymore. That means out of eight players I had two yesterday. I am usually all for playing with fewer players, but this just didn't make sense. I have run this group with as few as three, but it felt weird having them make group decisions without the others. Two would have been much worse. Due to this we played other games instead. I was finally able to open up Wrath of Ashardalon and give it two play-throughs. It was a ton of fun! I REALLY like the way things work and can definitely see why Nickydude has been working so hard on on his . I could see myself doing something similar if I had more free-time for it. We also played one hand of Munchkin. I had heard wonderful things about the game, and even almost purchased it a few times (putting it back down in the store due to what seemed like an expensive cost), but had never played it. It was a blast and I now know at least one more thing that will be finding it's way under my tree this holiday season (maybe more than the basic pack if I can find some decent deals). |

Munchkin is terribly addictive. I now have 3 of them Muchkin, Zombie and Space. plus a few expansions. |

Glad to hear you liked WoA. My oldest son (4) and I love it. I have simplified the rules a bit, but he gets the rolling, attacks, new map pieces, and can often be heard using game names outside of it ("okay, this lego guy will be the orc smasher;" "the kracken grabs you like a grell!"). |
