This a crappy cel phone pic of my new D&D character, Klt'zcha the Crazy Bug. She's a 5th level Warden painted to match Mars Station tiles. I'll try to get a real pic up tomorrow against a Red Desert surface...

First thing that sprung to mind even before reading your post was "That mini looks to be the same color as the Mars Station tiles. Bet it will look great in that setting." Then I read your post. - Nice job. Looking forward to seeing it (or not ![]() |

A Thri-Kreen with a wood sheild with metal bands... and a HUGE honking metal Axe. (ok the Axe isn't huge but the amount of metal in the head... is a huge amount.) surely the Mars Station tiles can not be standing in for Athas... |

No, the Mars Station tiles are my Red Desert egyptian terrain. Hence the metal axe and shoulder armour and shield bands... we went from faux-euro to FeyWild to Ancient Egypt, but with steel instead of bronze lol! You might have seen my "Showdown At The temple Of Khonsu" topic in the Gallery, showing one of my egyptian buildings with an alien monster inside... I've turned the DMing over to a friend of mine for an adventure, so I can recharge my batteries as a player. And a crazy thri-Kreen Warden is what I came up with... |

That's a nice paint job, tochtli, on a dynamic figure that really fits the setting. You must look forward to each time he steps out onto the board. |

Klt'zcha the Crazy Bug made her debut on the gaming table tonight... WOTC Dungeon Tiles and monster counters, so I won't bore you with pictures. But it was fun being a player, and the Warden class was a challenge. I grasp both Controller and Striker as roles, but Defender is a little tough for me, trying to figure out how to synergize with the others. But I managed to keep the bad guys focussed mostly on me, and made them pay when they didn't. And I spent half the game muttering about "protecting my Clutch" and "never again," which really established that she *is* quite crazy lol! We had two combat encounters (a Gelatinous Cube, and then two Mummies,) and two "fluff" encounters. There were also traps and puzzles. Brian did a great job putting an adventure together for us. Except for the lack of minis... |
