I am looking for ideas to build a little village in the FeyWild for my D&D game. I would like to go with something besides the VillageWorks/Thoumonts look. I have use Atlantis for ruins in the FeyWild previously, but don't want anything that fancy. And the SwampWoods tree village is slated for another location entirely. Thank you for any suggestions

Villages get build out of the best materials to hand; they also tend to reflect the character/culture of the inhabitants. All of which leaves plenty of scope for variations in materials and style. For TLX you could use any of the following (with Thoumonts providing peaked roofs where the flat 'roofs' don't suit): - for a rune themed village (there's enough walls without dwarven images for this). - for a village deeply bound to nature. No doors on this one, just lots of shadowy archways. - for a depressing but oddly majestic stone village. (Again, no doors) (Aside: We definitely need more in the way of TLX fantasy roofs. Hopefully the will help on that front.) would be an option for a non-TLX village. |

Garden with Thoumont's roofs might be my best bet... I am looking for something otherworldly and faerie... |

I went and took a look at my Garden files... they're perfect for what I want except for all those arched wall tops. I spent a while with PhotoShop trying to level them off, but it's a lot of work! Maybe I'll try again next week when I'm in a better mood lol! |

So I slept on it, and I think I've figured out a way to do the 'bash quickly and easily. I've even got the doors figured out! More on this as it develops... |

I've used the Garden set for fey-style encounters before, and love the textures to the walls. I can't wait to see what you bash out of this! I was eying the Feisty Friar door texture as a potential to use in the otherwise open archways... |

OK, since I know everyone lives and dies by my progress updates, I am happy to report that my plan to build flat-topped Garden walls is coming along nicely. Even better, the door system worked too! I am probaly a quarter of the way done with the computer work, then to see ho much of it I actually need or want to build... |
