Took a little break from DragonQuest because I've just bought HeroQuest second-hand. The cards were a little 'over used' (and written on) so I thought I'd redo them. The last two monster cards (Mimic & Minotaur) were added by me and don't come with Heroquest: HeroQuest_1.jpg [ 107.97 KiB | Viewed 6156 times ] The Leprechaun and Unknown Potion were added by me and don't come with Heroquest: HeroQuest_2.jpg [ 100.86 KiB | Viewed 6156 times ] ![]() |

I have all the old-school MB/GW Dungeon Crawls too, with all expansions. I started playing all of them with some friends, but eventually we would find out that the rules haven't aged well. The Heroes are very powerful from the beginning and get near invincible at a certain point and there's not enough RPGing to make up for it. Still, the components are great. |

They do become invincible quickly. |

I've still got my heroquest, with both expansions. A year or 2 ago we pulled them out to start playing again. I cannot remember if we played with all 4 heroes or only with as many as we actually had players for. But in at least half the games some or all the heroes got killed. We even began trying to come up with rules to include additional monsters and mapless play using WW terrain. Unfortunately we never got real far with that before the group broke up. |

iirc, I only got through the entire HQ game 1x ever, but played it lots. I have both American Expansions, both of the small expansions and both of the Euro expansions - the Euro/American expansions were the best with all new minis! |

For those who want to relive the good old days should check this out: , it's a free PC version of HeroQuest which you can create your own quests and it's pretty good! |

I tried to have a game with my kids (6 & 8) but all they were interested in is throwing the dice at each other, trying to knock things off the board with the dice and using their figures to 'bash' the monsters off the board. I'm going to have to wait till they are a bit older methinks. ![]() |
