So I was watching Lilo And Stitch tonight, followed by some Dragon Ball Z, and it occurred to me that Stitch is almost on the power level of some of the Z Fighters. Food for thought, if I can ever work out a Dragon Ball rpg... |

if you want an rpg like dragonball i suggest to mix something a melee and a ranged striker in D&D then to add flavour you could give each char a specialization like 4-5 special powers (depending on level) basic melee combat and ranged energy attacks should be avaiable to anyone... other things to make the things funnier, you can develop a "tactics system" i.e. some cards like focus melee focus ranged focus special, you have to put down your tactic card at the start of each turn and gives you bonus if you guess the move of the enemy! |

You could probably adapt a supers system to Dragon Ball Z. Apparently there was an official Dragon Ball Z RPG ... that was widely considered to be unplayable. |

I love D&D, but for Dragonball Z, I would definitely go with something with super heroes in mind. It will just feel better to have big numbered damage. |

you my want to also check out Big Eyes, Small Mouths. It was a generic Anime RPG engine. It had all kinds of supplements to enhance genre specific settings like Mecha and what not. |
