I actually like the ships but the price is too much for me (that is if I even had enough time to learn another game). |

I like the 'good guy' ships but the S.S. Floating Castle is pretty ridiculous. And the price, of course. GW stuff is going to be out of my price range as long as I can count higher than my account balance. With all the other good minis out there, buying GW is kinda like saying Nike cotton t-shirts are better than Hanes cotton t-shirts based solely on the logo. |

Aye gods that trailer is bad. I like the ships, and I bet the game will look great on a big board. I have no time for another game though (and no time to paint the figures I have now). Steve |

These look great with a superb paint job, But they're small figures and therefore not much use for anything else. The mechanical kraken figure looked promising, but again it's defeated by its small size. Now if they do a 30mm scale equivalent, then that would be something. Of course, I'd rather see what Denny can do with the idea - Hint, Hint

They had a fantasy ship to ship combat game 20 years back or something, called Man'o'War. It didn't do so well. Then they had Battlefleet Gothic, which I enjoyed but the minis were pricey. Then you guys came out with Wormhole which I want to try sometime. Oh hey, so I just wandered over to the GW site.... THEY ARE THE SAME SHIPS FROM the MAN'O'WAR PRODUCT FROM 20 YEARS AGO. OK, maybe not, but they look very similar. |

I loke at the ships, aside from the mechanosquid, and go - those look dumb! 
The mechanosquid also looks dumb, but might be fun in a sill steampunk scenario, with a captain that looks like this: As for mounting a huge steam driven hammer on the prow of a ship... I would shoot the designer if I were the admiral of the Emperor's Navy. Piece of S***! The Auld Grump, not kewl, but krap. |

After my earlier interest I have to confess that I don't like it, the forces and models are just to inconstant for my liking so I'll invest the money I would have spent on Spartan games. |

I actually have the best reason of all to buy the game. Joni, lady of the house, has decide it looks like a mini game she would play. She actually likes the whole steam hammer on a ship gimmick, and thinks dwarf Dirigibles are cool. Guess which fleet, I will get to play. |

Well Dreadfleet came in to day. I have to say these are some of the best done models I have seen out of GW in a while. It is almost like the only good models they do any more are the box set "cheap" models. Assault on Black Reach had some of the best Marine models to come out in a while. My box has almost no flashing and little or no model shift lines. It looks like it will be fun to paint even if it takes a while. |

That's the Australian price. Toyworld Townsville has a 20% off policy on GW products but there is no guarantee that covers this game, and it will still be immensely expensive after the discount is applied. |

My will power failed and I brought a copy, so far I've just flicked through the instruction shoved it back in the box and dumped it on the shelf with space hulk! At least there was something in spacehulk I could use! |

Painting and assembling Dreadfleet, I was impressed by the quality of the casts. No flash, no mold lines, the plastic used is kinda springy which is good given the number of spindly masts and thin sails. One other neat thing beyond the surprisingly good detail is that everything I have built so far pushes together and holds with out glue, despite how complex a few of the ships like teh Bloody reaver are to assemble. |

I cut out my ships last night and had a couple of issues with putting things together. I couldn't figure out how to get the shadowwraith's deck to lay in correctly in assembly, but that was early on and I didn't come back to it. I also snapped the mast of the skaven ship,  which I need to figure out how to re-attach. And one of the pegs on the Bloody Reaver internals came loose when I pulled it apart, so I need to re-glue that into place.Agree that the quality is very nice, but I do think the masts are going to be very touchy to get everything together. When I'm ready to glue, I will likely shave them down a bit to make them less of a tight fit, and then glue them together. Overall though, I have been obsessing over this set since I learned of it's existence. It's pulled me back in to wanting to do some modeling and painting. I've been watching all kinds of you tube videos of people working on their Dread Fleets. |
