I'm not yet fully committed to this idea, but merely toying around with it and would like your feedback. I own a Dreamer crew for Malifaux and one of the possibilities that it offers for me is to wield 2 . I've already ordered them about a month ago, but they have been out of stock. Basically, using more than one probably wouldn't be useful in a game, but this is more of a question of "because I can". Now, the first one I intend to paint somewhat normally, but I'm seriously considering converting the second one to a more humorous version. The teddies can fly (yes, it's in the rules) and thus it gave me an idea to model the second one as a fairy - put a cone hat on the head, butterfly/insect wings on the back, possibly modeled as a strap-on attachment and a fairy godmother's wand on his hand ... and of course paint the result as pastel pink. Perhaps even a tutu, but I'm not sure whether I can pull that off. Can you provide any tips on modeling those? I have some ideas of my own, but I'd like to hear your ideas. |

Me, I might model him after O'Malley, the Fairy Godfather from Barnaby - I am a huge fan of Crockett Johnson's Barnaby, and a charter member of Elves, Leprechauns, Gnomes, and Little Men's Chowder & Marching Society. ![]() A squashed derby, a green coat, pink wings, cigar, and antennae. Plus, it gives you an excuse to have a fanged teddy bear with wings muttering Cushla McCree! As an aside - Fantagraphics will be reprinting Barnaby, starting next April. ![]() The Auld Grump |
