So, looks like the choices currently fitting most people are 7:00 or 8:00 PST on Fridays or Saturdays (with a person or two possibly showing up a little late). I personally lean towards Fridays due to more often having Saturday commitments. Speak up now before I call it Friday nights for sure.

I also haven't heard anything from you guys about character choices or the decision between using D&D Next rules vs D&D 4e.

I'm neutral on the playtest (neutral in the sense of two strong but equal and opposing feelings). That said, I believe online games are banned by the OPTA (or whatever it is).
Regardless of what we go with, I'm interested in playing a fighter.

8pm PST is 10pm my time and may be a little too late for a 3-4 hour session. It depends on the frequency. I can only do every other Friday or sometimes even less then that. Evenings are a bit difficult for me.

What frequency are you thinking?

I was trying to split the difference for others. I could go with 7:00 PST if it works better. Frequency is up to you guys. We can either try for most every week and only cancel as needed, or we can go biweekly adjusting as needed for schedules.

Another day is also an option. Maybe more frequent with shorter sessions on a different day?

unfortunately i can commit to anything to frequent at the moment. I'll have to bow out.

I could go for a one-shot.
I could also commit to starting earlier in the day if it was just an occasional thing, to have longer sessions.

Personally I think it would be nice if we could do something like "the PCs are in a detective agency, each session is one case, other stuff happens in between so everyone levels up each session, we'll shoot for four or five total." Try to make the sessions fairly self-contained (or maybe there's a metaplot/villain connecting all the cases, whatever).

I am good with that. It is just a matter of seeing who is in at this point.

Then we have that whole character creation stuff to deal with.

I'm still in, still up for whatever, but like i said at least until the end of June i cannot be here earlier than 9:00-9:30 PST, but after that i will no longer be working my second job and would be open.

unless we do Saturdays and then i would be available.

Alright guys, this Friday night will be our first chance to meet up as a group online. I am hoping that everyone will be in attendance and that we will have plenty of people.

I am leaning towards two options: TableTop Forge or Roll20.

They both seem very similar. Both are in open beta. Roll20 was funded via Kickstarter recently and TableTop Forge started a Kickstarter yesterday. Both utilize Google+ and Google+ Hangout (although Roll20 can be browser only). Both emphasize simplicity which is a nice thing compared to MapTools complexity. Both take care of the audio/video needs also.

As a side note, if you haven't already please add me on Steam. Most of you have already, but I am missing a couple.

I made a Google+ account and interacted with both Roll20 and Tabletop Forge. Roll20 seems like the better bet, at least for now.

I can make it, although I won't be around next week (on a trip).
