I havent done the clix games, but GM several others trying to recruit players (Flintloque fantasy Napoleonics, Gaslight VSF, Piquet historicals, etc.), so often feel more overwhelmed trying to make players have fun - I found that to be somewhat self defeating. If I just have fun running it, the players will usually sense it and have fun with me, and in the end, it doesnt matter if there was something not quite right with the scenario or my running it, the important thing is that the players enjoy the game, and you enjoy it. I got nervous the first few times, and I think it reflected in the players. After changing my attitude, I have had more players want to come back and try my games again. And the Count has it on the scenarios moving forward. You can be flexible with these things, or develope a campaign from a comic book or video, but remember, the players will move it forward as characters dont do what they did in the comic/video, and you have to adjust the next scenario to fit the end of the previous. Just better to have a basic outline and fill in the blanks as the game develops.

thanks for the tips guys. im not killing myself trying to make this an awesome experience...because we've had these game nights before with the same guys and it was great fun. i was just trying to enhance the experience thats all.

any suggestions for dice towers?

WWG has a dice tower kit for $5 I think. Look in the accessories. Advanced Squad Leader players use dice towers a lot, since randomly moving dice have accidentally killed more games than anything else, so might look at http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/109113- they use everything from a Pepsi carton to Legos. I think the WWG version is best, but I'm sort of biased that way...

I love the Tower of Chaos but if playing a Heroclicks game using the mayhem set it would be just as easy to build a dice tower from on of the flats and it would fit into the board better too. Just make up two or three of them by making a small cutout and area for the dice to rest then use them just like that as part of the skyline of your city.
