The only thing that worries me is that Mongoose products have notoriously bad editing. The material is often good, though.

Well, thanks to this thread and numerous posts all over this forum, I finally gave in and got SW revised, plus a batch of adventures (12 to Midnight) from RPGNow.

I must admit to it looking really good, will have a proper read later on, but first impressions are usually correct.

I've been looking for a universal system that can handle skirmish games for quite a while now, and the fact that its an RPG engine makes it doubly useful! I had thought about modifying the Dark Age rules to play other genres of games, but gave up on that idea for the time being.

So, first game is planned for November 11th, using my new Mayhem terrain (including a "Poppy Day" Billboard, specially printed out for the day's event using the picture below). Photos of the game and setup to follow......... if I can get hold of a camera that is

Check out the guide to adding Points to Savage Worlds - this allows you to cost out units for pure tabletop play.

Also being 31/10 Savage World just got the , needless to say I just snagged my copy. This also means that the next release is the GM/Worldbuilders guide or the Players - very cool no matter which way it slices you!

Possibly worth mentioning in regards to Savage Worlds - Runepunk is a steam era expansion for the game which I gather will have an alternate magic and Weird Science system.
