is another simplified D20 system, a bit more to my tastes. C&C does not have a skill system as such, relying on attribute checks, while True20 does use skills.

C&C, going by descriptions from those who play it, is closer to the older versions of D&D, while True20 (which I have played) feels very different, combat is not all that similar to D&D, you make a saving throw against damage to avoid being knocked out rather than having a set number of hit points. Those who like Savage Worlds may like True 20.

And sooner or later someone will, without a doubt, pop up and start expounding on the virtues of Savage Worlds. It is not my favorite system, so I will leave that task to them.

For me, I went to a system that is, if anything, more complex in some ways than D&D, but makes GMing much easier, The authors of Spycraft 2.0 made combat a bit more complex, but streamlined NPC generation a great deal.
