I have alot of the LBB's, many bought later and not in such great shape. But I also went to GenCon one year and who did I find standing there selling the reissued sets in the new book format...Marc Miller ! So I managed to get the complete sets in signed books for probably less than one LBB would cost me now.

Similiarly the entire MegaTraveler set is available on CD now too, again for less than the individual pieces. And it happens that MegaTraveler came out during a period when life was happening to me and I missed most of it so the CD is a good cover for what I missed.

I have noted several companies are keeping TNE and now TNE2148 (I think) alive and there is T5 next year.

But to always try to keep the real point here, Traveler is the base of my need for WWG. All that Sci-Fi goodness together.

I prefer T1 myself...mainly because of the nostalgia factor (that and you only needed some d6). Also, the books in their original format are nice and small and perfect for sneaking into a meeting.

Big fan and follower of the T-series so I too hope that Marc's intent to involve himself in T5 will rectify his lack of involvement in T4, which showed, I think.

Still the whole thing from T1 to the previews of T5 makes a heck of a story. Both the development and feel of the game and the overall story started by that last signal from the Beowulf.

I second Grump's vote fore TtNE, because of Fire, Fusion and Steel... The best, most comprehensive starship building guide i've ever seen. Taken step-by-step, regardless of the size or type of craft, the designer really is a DESIGNER of the ship, and knows her in a way only Scotty could truly appreciate... This book redefined the meaning of the term "crunchy bits" for all of the techie geek/ engineer wannabe's out there, and succeeded in generating one of the few in-game bouts of real nausea I've ever experienced at the demise of a ship, comparable only to watching the Enterprise bite it in ST3 the first time around...
Or, for those far, far away, how that idiot Lemelisk must have felt after he fell asleep during the final red-line approvals of a certain thermal exhaust port designed by some idiot Geonosian CAD-hack, and we all know what happened because of that one... (good lord, my scarlet "G" is burning brightly on my forehead... sorry.)
