As much as I'm a GURPSaphile, I still haven't picked up 4th edition. I got a little stale on 3rd edition and having to make sure that anything I gave my players balanced out pointwise. I could have just ignored worrying about making sure if I gave them a special ability, that they paid the points for it and just made sure if I gave one player an ability worth 10 pts, all the rest of the players got something for the same value.

That's partly why I finally switched to D20. If I ever get enough ahead moneywise, I'll probably pick it up, but of course by then, Steve will have put out 5th edition!

SteveRB11 thanks for you imput. I think I will go with the Gurps Space and GURPS Interstellar Wars. I also ordered the Gurps Mecha.

As soon as I get the system down and the ideas start flowing I will start a Wiki on the universe I am creating for Gurps.
