I remember my first Hinterlands trees. I did four of the Simple Pine trees, and it seemed like Hell to get them done. Later, I finished another four of them before moving on to twelve of the Simple Deciduous trees. I thought they would take FOREVER to finish! And then all the shrubs and bushes... Anyways, I did several reduced-sized trifold Swampwoods trees for a 15mm project. More recently I did some of the dead trees from Wildwood Grove. Can I tell you that by this time I was beginning to hate trifold trees? But wait, I needed apple trees for the Goblin Raid scenic encounter, more trees, lovely. And last week I was seting up for my D&D gane and realized I didn't have enough pine trees... For a guy who's tired of making all these trees, I sure do find more reasons to keep making them. And don't even get me started about the Skull Cove palm trees...

Heh - I use Woodland Scenics for most of my deciduous trees, and cheap Christmas decorations for my pines.

I use the Hinterland trees for the ones people are hiding in, because of the built in platforms.

I glue my trees to CDs, most of my older ones were from America Online. Three or four trees on a coaster.

The Auld Grump

I've been slowly growing my Hinterland Forest. My inspiration is it provides great cover for my Kroot Mercenaries and they need all the cover saves they can get.

I don't mind making trees. The only thing I hated was cutting them by hand. Then I hated making the GSD's for them (what a pain that was) but now that all the torment is over I just slip the cut trees from my Craft Robo set it on my cutting matt and glue them up. No Problem except with finding a place to store them. Man I miss my old house in the States. I will never understand how people in England can live in shoe boxes.

Now if only I could find the right output to print off the floor tiles. I look at everyone else's and wonder how they get such great results while mine always print off really dark and bland. One of these days I'm just going to break down and get a 4'x8' PVC banner printed with a basic Hinterlands floor.

@Highland Piper: I love Kroot! And I am still hand cutting them. With scissors. After the trifold has been glued together, because that 1/8" image compression from my printer plays hell with precutting. And cutting tight little curves on doublethick cardstock is *really* rough on the fingers, which is why it takes do long. Did I mention that I love Kroot? Kroot are the best!
