Oh, that sucks man. I haven't heard of Uverse, but if they're offering to help you set up your equipment, then get it in writing & go with it. Just make a list of all the devices that need to connect, and that you need whole house coverage, get them to write it up & sign it, and you should be great.

So the guy is supposed to show up this morning between 8-10. At 7:30 I call to confirm the appointment. Sorry we don't see an appointment they tell me, (big surprise). So I give him the incident number from Friday's 4 hours of phone calls, and he says that yeah someone was supposed to be sent but the computer never assigned someone.

But he says, your modem is online lets just activate your router. I unplug it, 20 minutes of him doing something on his end and he tells me, okay now turn it on, and it works!!!!!

4 HOURS Friday with tech support and NOTHING. Half an hour with the guy who sets up APPOINTMENTS and HE FIXES IT?!!!! Thanks Comcast!!!

On the upside the wireless N router is providing 4 of 5 bars throughout the house and the moment, so I might not need any additional things anymore.

Still I'm giving U-verse a try.
