The TV show is OK... kinda full of the asian cuties and neetos and a reasonable amount of character stuff. Probably too much fluff.
The movie was extracted from that show, with little attention to the final story for the movie. Essentially season 1 compressed illogically into 2 hours.
Given the time allotment, they should; have found the avatar, figured out who he was, and traveled to an air bender home, and straight to the water benders of the north. Violence and mayhem would ensue in between.
Really, they kept trying to put back bits and pieces of the TV series which didn't belong. And didn't actually try to tell any sort of reasonable story. Like why add a major plot element like trying to reunite the earth benders? It serves no purpose to the movie what so ever.
Avoid this movie at all costs.
Once again, my players remind me that AD&D stands for Attention Deficit & Disorder...
