I missed this sale - I added it to the cart then got called away = forgotten.

If I buy the DVD version can I link it to the Steam version? It's currently on sale for End of Financial Year Sale - 50% off. so it will work out about $4US more expensive than the Steam sale price.


I only really want this game due to everyone on here saying how wonderful it is.... that and I might just go evil.... like really CCotD Evil.

Hmmmm...have you updated your mobo drivers? Have you contacted Steam and/or Bethesda?

Ab, totally worth the money. I already owned it for the 360 and for such a low price, was totally worth owning another copy!

Fixed, and running...But I did have to install my original copy of FO3, and then Frankenstein the dlc content into it. Thank goodness for FOMM

Thanks...I think it may have been somthing missing rather than an error...Possibly from GFWL, or the copy protection...The DVD version installed and ran perfectly first time...so all I needed was the DLC packs.

Still a good deal for all the DLC at $25 so overall I am not unhappy

OK got FO3: GOTYE....

it was on sale for 50% off - was $70.00AUD ($61US) = $35. Now this is good but not great as I knew that only last week I could have gotten it for $25US from Steam, so I asked if they match prices - the answer I got was yes so long as the shop was in the same centre and had stock. Knowing that the other store had none I simply stated I would like him to check, he was gone for five minutes only to come back saying that he was the third person to ring that morning and they were out of stock. The price stood at $35 so I engaged the assistance in questions about Starcraft 2 and release dates... this went on for about three minutes when I thanked him for his time and went to move off. On the ball of my feet I turned and asked
"So that's the best price?"
"yes, unless we can match it - which we cannot"
"Oh all right..... but what if you could?"
"Then we would"
"So what is stopping you from saying you could?"
"Oh, that's no right"
Smile grows wider on my face
"But really what is stopping you? Never mind"
I shift my feet
"Hang on..."


So I walked out with the game at $25US.

Nothing beats beening polite, engaging and just the hint of sulphur.

I am very picky when it comes to mods. I don't like mods that add uber objects of places.

I did find that seems to be ok. It adds only a little bit of weight that your character can carry, the textures are nice and it seems like it should fit in to Fallout. You can even get an additional mod which makes them like storage containers when your not wearing them.

The only annoying part is you get a quick message saying when the merchants have resupplied themselves with the backpacks. Not really necessary as your only going to buy a few of them.
