Hi guys, New to the forum and the TLX system in general. I'm in my seedling stage of terrain generation for Warmachine and soon Malifaux. I'd really like to leverage the TLX system to create a master board of outdoor terrain, then possibly use Himmelveil to create some urban fighting environments. I'm looking to be able to break the pieces down for easy storage, and TLX seems to fit the bill. Himmelveil is a no-brainer, but what would be the sets I would need if I am looking for outdoor 6x6 tiles, specifically grass, trees, and rocky terrain, with realistic transitions between them? |

A mix of TLX sets and some kitbashes, and even a free model. ![]() encompasses the wooded lands, including trees designed so that figures can be perched in them. - the rocky areas of the world. A free , again, designed with perches for PCs. And, roaming among the kitbashes.... - a transition tile for Himmelveil to Hinterland and - more transitions. The Auld Grump |

Having already done this. I would recommend the sets Auld Gump did. As for building it, I stringly suggest building 1'x1' and 6"x6" connectors. Making the whole thing out of 6 inch squares will eat a lot of time. that said, players in my FLGS love the WWG terrain boards I bring in. While it is not TLX, Caveworks would make some fun Malleifuax boards. |

Thanks to both of you! I've purchased the Hinterland Forests, and am working on the tiles now. Are there transition tiles between the grass in the forests and the rocky tiles in the Cliffs set? |
