Hi, I bought the "streets of titan" Terrain about a week ago and everything works great so far, exept that I have no idea on how to build the ramps. I searched the board already and found an older post with the same problem that said the instruction PDF is missing and can be found in the "Layer of the Dragon God" and posted pictures of the instrucions. My problem is now, that these pictures are in such a low resolution, that i can´t read a single word written on them... Has someone else anything that could help? |

Well, there are 2 different types of ramps for TLX sets, actually. The construction of one of them is shown in the main TLX instruction document. The other uses regular posts and a spare floor tile for the ramp surface. I don't have Streets of Titan, so I don't know which type of ramps they have in there. I have Mayhem: Streets of Legend and in looking through the files, I don't see any actual instructions for the ramps included, for some reason. FrozenBanana, can you take a look at page 31 in that TLX Instructions document? It should be included with your set, but it's also found at that link sunraven posted. Does that page look like it matches the ramp files in your set? The key should be the ramp walls pieces in your set. The back edge of them should either be just a straight edge or something that looks like it's made to fit into TLX posts. |

I'm running into the same problem. The Streets of Titan ramp appears to be a newer collapsible type, which is not explained in either the included instructions or the ones on this site. The ramp is pretty complex looking and I can't figure it out just by messing with it. Please help! |

The instructions that come with Streets of Titan are missing the pages pertaining to the ramps and stairs. They are in the updated TLX instructions found by following sunraven's link above. On that page, look for the "Instructions Download" area in the middle of the page, a little to the right. Just under the video. Just click on the blue image and you'll be able to download them. Those missing pages are on pages 30 and 31. The table of contents doesn't have entries for them, though, so it's not obvious that they've been added. |

Ninevah, Those instructions do indeed show you how to make a ramp, but it appears to be a totally different type of ramp. The one in Streets of Titan isn't the one-piece glue-together one that the downloadable instructions show. It's the one with tabs and other weird folds and such. |

Whoops! You're right. I looked at it too quickly earlier. I'm not sure why they didn't include that with Streets of Titan. It's in some of the other TLX sets. Here's a link to the one from Lair of the Dragon God: |

UPDATE: After attempting to build the Streets of Titan ramp, I noticed something odd. The back wall and toe intended for the wider ramp have score marks in different places than the ones for the smaller ramp. Is this just a glitch or are they intended to be different? I couldn't get them to work without improvising my own score marks and ignoring some. It still doesn't seem "right". Has anyone actually built the ramp for this set? Any help would be appreciated. |

I've only build the Lair of the Dragon God ramp and that went together just fine. When I compare the PDF for it to Streets of Titan, I can totally see what you're talking about, though. That 6" ramp for SoT looks different. The score lines are in different places and it even has a different number of score lines on the back wall. Very odd. Even the white space on that wall is a different size. Here's a screenshot of part of them side-by-side: |

Yeah. Confusing. It looks almost like an attempt at a new style ramp with no instructions. I guess I'll try and convert it to a normal ramp if no one knows how to put this one together. Ninevah (or anyone else), it would help me out if you could post a picture of the completed backwall of your dragon god ramp, so I could see how its supposed to come out. That way I can just modify the 6" SOT ramp wall. The diagram on the instructions doesn't help much as you can't see where the folds are supposed to be in relation to the graphics. |

Ok. These might not be the best pictures. It's not easy to get a good pic of something small like this with a camera phone. A note, though: I use an edging marker to cover up any white space that I think MIGHT get exposed due to pieces not fitting together well. That's why there looks to be a sloppy-looking dark section at the top edge of the first pic. It might be unnecessary, but I'm overly cautious. Let me know if some pics of the pieces assembled would help, too. |

Ya know, the more I look at this, the more I'm unsure that the back piece for Streets of Titan is necessarily WRONG. That same part in Lair of the Dragon God actually has the same number of score lines. They're just not noticeable on the PDF file. If I open up the GSD file for it, though, I can see all the score lines as a robocutter would be told to create. They're not in the same locations as the Streets of Titan one, but it's the same number of them. Of course, none of the promo shots for SoT have ramps in them, so I don't know if they're intended to be a little different. |

Then again, when I look at the GSD's for SoT, they included the exact same cutfile for that ramp page as was included in LotDG. So, color me confused. If you've got a robocutter, you could probably just print that page from SoT and run it through the cutter with the included GSD and it'd cut and score everything to the right sizes and locations. The graphics just wouldn't match up 100%. It should really only be in sections that shouldn't be visible, so it should look just fine. |

Thanks for your help Ninevah. I think I may have solved it: It appears that its simply missing two score marks in the upper grey area. If you add score marks equivalent to the LotDG ramp then you are able to fold it into a shape where the white part juts out a little bit, making a nice rail for the top of your ground tile to sit on. My guess is that the designer just wanted to add a little bit of stability so it isn't just sitting on the two side rails. The toe is also missing a score mark so I just put that in and voila! It seems to work now. |
