Post subject: | Any TerrainlinX sets suitable for a Ancient Roman City? |
I have recently made my first few TerrainlinX purchases, and I just finished building my first 'set' from the Hinterlands TerrainlinX. I'm running a game set around a mythological version of the Roman Empire, and wondering which, if any, of the sets have walls suitable for the kind of stereotypical roman city. I've already picked up the Atlantis and Arenaworks sets, though I'm not quite sure how to adapt them for use with TerrainlinX. I'm also going to pick up The Gardens for the outer areas. I think Atlantis might make a nice Temple and upper class parts of the city, (not sure if I'll be able to make it work with TerrainlinX) but wondering if any of the sets like The Feisty Friar or Thoumonts could be used for less lavish buildings like insula (roman apartment blocks) or are they going to be too 'medieval'?. Also interested in possible wooden forts, etc, buildable from TerrainlinX sets |

Try with the tiled roofs from . You could also use the walls from with Himmelveil Streets floors. The stone block structures from Streets and Oubliet will work great as Roman buildings and the Feisty Friar roofs, while not correct, will at least give you tiled roofing. The main things that are missing are pillars, mosaics and plaster walls with murals. has all these (plus the correct roofs), however they're not TLX standard (Edit: the ground tiles are based on the old 7" format) and are rather blue colored. mproteau was working on a personal TLX ktibash of this set - you could find out where he's got to with that. |
