Hello all, Im brand new to paper craft and would love to create some terrain as i enjoying building stuff and generally creating my own games, sad i know lol! The printer i have is a Cannon MG5300 series, and well i just dont know what paper to use. I have used Glossy paper but seems a little to weak and feels like ive constructed it out of toilet paper! But the issue i am having is i dont want to spend a small fortune, where it would cost more than buying plastic/resin/wood buildings. So what type of paper should i go for, i am based in the UK so any useful links would be great! Strigoi |

Look for card stock that is close to 199 gsm which is the 110 lb cardstock you see referenced here. A4 size should be OK. Most if not all of the graphics on a page will fit on A4 and USLtr size card stock. 177 gsm card stock will work too. ![]() |

Yeah, the vast majority of folks use 110lb cardstock. I personally am using 200gsm soft gloss photo paper. Some folks are fond of 80lb COVERstock, which is 218gsm or so. And some like matte photo paper. Here's a good reference to clarify all the differences in paper weights: http://www.paper-paper.com/weight.html Check out some of the suggestions from Mel Ebbles on this thread: viewtopic.php?t=8370&highlight=photo He has some of the most experience in the paper modeling industry. |
