I've just bought a new Silhouette and have been trying to cut the mayhem corporate set. I've worked out the best way to print and position the template on A4, measured everything up against the original and patched the reg marks. Then when I run the job the cut starts out file, but then seems to run off consistently as though the image was stretched. Any advice? |

A couple of ideas: 1. Are you sure that your printouts are to scale? Make sure you select "Actual Size" in Acrobat Reader, or the equivalent setting in whatever program you're printing with. I missed that on my first several prints and ended up wasting a lot of paper and ink. And make sure you measure a few printouts to be sure. The 6x6 tiles should measure exactly 6 inches by 6 inches, not including the 1/4 inch sides or the TLX flaps. 2. There IS an alignment test built into the Silhouette Studio software. Have you tried that to see if your cutter is significantly off? Granted, it looks like your results are way off, so this might not fix it for you, but it's a way to check. |

You mention A4, which I assume if the paper size. I don't think it's going to work if it isn't Letter. Not sure if that helps. ~J |

Hi! youre from germany? Then i can help you: Du musst beim Drucken darauf achten, dass du in tatsächlicher Größe druckst und das Bild nicht wegskaliert wird. Beim plotten auf Letterformat lassen! Der Plotter checkt ja nicht, dass du ein A4 Blatt drin hast, er verschiebt sonst die Passermarker. Hatte bei meinem ersten Audruck auch das Problem. Zudem musst du es bei Letter auf die Folie legen, nicht bei A4. €: I try to explain it in english also: Print with normal scale and dont change the cutting files to A4, just leave it letter and handle the A4 like letter. The portrait doesnt know that you have A4, so cutting in letter with A4 is no problem. Otherwise you get these results, because the marks are different with A4 |
