Right, I'm ready for my first test of TXL using the Lost Halls of the Dwarven Kings. I have all the bits ready for my test and boy did it take a bit of effort! I never realised it was so time consuming.



If all goes according to plan than I'll attempt to build the promo pic for the halls:

Can't wait to see this in action! I have been very tempted to build lost halls. It is definitely on my list for a big build.

ok, I've managed to make to halls, a room and a bunch of walls:



Definitely fiddly and time consuming work. I found that I had to cut slightly inside the lines when cutting out the slots for the link tabs so they could get a nice tight fit. Surprisingly I've only made a couple of mistakes; cutting the anchors before gluing them together and forgetting to cut a couple of slots in the tile card for the link tabs to go (had to cut them after I glued the tile to the foamboard).

All in all it's not going to bad and I'm sure I'll get there in the end. lol!

Yes, that was the only one I did so an easy fix. Also I've just did the first of many (I hope) video sessions showing how I'm getting on. The first video is all about the equipment I use, the next will be about the materials I'm using to build with.

One I've uploaded it to YouTube all let you know.

The build is going great, and apart from the cock-up of putting anchors the wrong way round (*insert own Homer Simpson joke here*) everything's running smoothly. The most time consuming and fiddly part I've found so far is the posts.

I've edged the red forge tile and the tile next to it but not the other yet.

I've now put together more floor tiles, corridors, anchors and posts, made a few mistakes and bought some more (cheap) glue.

It's slowly but surely getting there (yes, edging, I know... )

Finally got round to building the "Lost Halls of the Dwarven Kings" promo shot, w00t!





Phew! It was a long and fiddly haul but it got there. Now comes the rules for the board game....
