Have just put together some of the Villageworks buildings and have created an exterior board (being English - they are two 22x33 boards hinged in the middle with packing tape)... and it looks really nice - wants me to get painting more figures. Intending to use it for LoTR and WH and probably MK and anything else I have lying around too 8) ;D Thanks Denny, they are brilliant ![]() ![]() I'll get some piccies taken as soon as its all edged - want to get all the models and bits made first before I edge them... Gotta make - gotta make... It must be mine! There are some bits by other designers - especially the cute hill set from another publisher. Denny - a couple of questions: 1) Denny - how do you feel about 'conversions' of your work - for example I need some t-junction and cross sections for my CD walls - do you have any problem with me hacking and adjusting the file in paintshop or photoshop so I can make the bits I want to try and make. 2) Baseboards - can we have more variations... In village works we've got grass, sand, and 2x 1 grass edge. Could really do with a few others - a thin grass edge, two edges (adjacent), two edges (parallel) and three edges. This would then make it ideal for us wargamers :) Thanks again for a great set. Can't wait for the next batch of releases. Jon aka Cinulph |

Greetings, and welcome to WorldWorks, Cynewulf. I'm quite pleased to find that you've found us, and are enjoying what we have to offer. As for conversions of your work, you are welcome to do whatever you need or desire, as long as you keep it to yourself. I, myself, have regularly manipulated pieces to suit a particular need I might have. However, you cannot give, trade, sell, share, or otherwise provide any piece that is part of a WorldWorks image, even if you've altered it. As for baseboards...there's a few tricks you can do that might help. In the past, I've printed a full grass tile, then hacked it up into pieces and used them to make my own edging, since I wanted both a road and a stream for which the grass came right up to the edge. If you print the sand on cardstock, and the grass on regular paper, the extra layer won't really add enough thickness to be noticable at all. As for future releases, I can't say when it will occur...but there has been mention in the past of an "exteriorworks" that will come about at some point. In the meantime, take a peek at SeaWorks: The Legend of Skull Cove for some more great outdoors materials (this one's a must if you play WH with a Lizardman player). |

Thanks, I always like to check first - as the artwork is copyright. I'm going to be broke at this rate - my printer has been churning out 280gsm at a vast rate of knots ::) ;D The kit bashes have come out pretty well (the only problem I've had is on some of the floor pieces - but they don't show unless you look really closely).... I'm now the proud owner of an alterntive version on the right angle corner, a t-junction and a 2x1 wall with a door in the middle of it ![]() ![]() Thanks Denny and all the Worldworkds team ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() OK - maybe the wife doesn't agree - but nQ again Jon aka Cinulph Just got another 80 sheets of 280gsm ::) |
