I've played with the freebies from said nameless rpg titan, and have found the designs to be pretty plain and boring (mainly boxes with a roof), and the textures are at best so-so. And the fit is poor. And... ;) As long as Denny's quality and innovation remain at the current level, there's probably not much to worry about. That or he could sell out, move south, and be their new lead designer. :( Now that would suck. D |

Well, I’m not in the least bit surprised. It was coming at me in the darkness the whole time, this colossal monstrosity. It’s just to bad that “RPG Titan” didn’t take me seriously when they first contacted me over a year ago. At that time (after coming “this” close to contract) they said it would be “impractical and too costly to go forward with a project of this nature". Looks like they’ve changed their tune. Hmmm, maybe they’ll change their tune and get in touch again… Oh well, I’m hoping against hope that we have a large number of our products to print before then and with a respectable distribution swath. Perhaps we can set ourselves up with a small but firm lead here before all hell breaks loose. I need your mojo here guys ![]() |

My guess is that they did not realize how popular their mini-line would become and have now realized that there is a large market for minis and mini-related merchandise. I suppose, like everything else, there are positives and negatives to the situation. It's certainly a negative (to WWG) to have a company with such deep pockets entering this market. Their size may actually work in favor of WWG in the long run. Assuming that many people buy this product (which Titan is assuming they will) it could bring some whole new blood into this market. If said Titan decides to price single buidlings (of unknown but potentially dubious quality) for a $10 price point, it won't be long before that new blood seeks better value and quality. Enter WWG. The other positive is that they will most likely stick with their bread and butter, which is fantasy, and are unlikely to pursue other genres like Western or Sci-fi, leaving that market wide open. |

To be fair, I'm sure the models will be quite good. I don't see a long term commitment though. I do like the style from what I can see from the picture. WWG is light years ahead of anything they could do as far as design goes. Once the WWG products hit the shelves people will get turned onto it in a heartbeat. The business you'll get from Warhammer players alone will be through the roof. |

Based on the cover art, and based on the other book in this line, I assume this one will essentially be all their freebie buildings, plus perhaps a very small amount of additional content - barely enough to satisfy the claim on their website (multi-level BW interior). I.e. if you've already been building their freebies, this one probably won't be worth picking up. It does make it a lot easier for them to break into the market though. They essentially already paid all their design cost and time up front... |

Just to let you know, said titan is simply reprinting the same material available free on their website, with B&W interiors added. That is why it is only $10, the work is already done. (Which is not to say that it won't be worth $10., just don't expect too much new material. This same titan recently did the same with the maps also available free on their website. (And again charged $10...) So don't get either your hopes or your fears too high... And maybe it is time for Denny to renew negotiations if all goes well with this. The Auld Grump *EDIT* Hmmm, strange, for some reason Connail's post didn't show up... But since I agree with him... |

Having bought all the WWG sets, I am a huge fan. I'm also interested in other products, like this "RPG titan" offering you all seem to know about. It's kind of maddening - can't find it and there aren't enough clues here to help me locate it. Help! |

Look around for "Foldup Paper Models" at one of the largest, if not THE largest fantasy RPG publisher around... |
