OK, I have the old, soon-to-be-retired dungeonworks. I want to purchase one worldworks set a month. What products are due to be revised soon, so I can avoid getting those and instead get the ones that are "current" and will be so indefinately? I'm interested in them all over the course of time, so where do I begin? John |

Buy 'em all mate! they are inexpensive enough and versitile enough to go with almost any adventure setting!! Remember, you don't have to print every piece of every set. Print what you want and mix and match them. They are all roughly the same scale so you only limit is imagination and cash flow!! Good luck ![]() |

For the record...Only DungeonWorks Classic & CastleWorks Classic are slated for retirement. Hope that helps ![]() |

And though they are being retired I wouldn't say that purchasing them would be a bad investment. In a few ways I actually prefer Dungeon Works to Gothic Realms. DW is better for free standing pieces, while GR works better to create interconnected pieces. And Castle Works has seen more use than any set other than Village Works in my collection, it is quite likely that you will get your money's worth out of it before Castle Works Ultimate comes out. (Castle Works is very reasonably priced at $5.00.) Though I suspect that I will upgrde to Ultimate the week it comes out. The Auld Grump |

I second Gidster - buy 'em all! ;) But, if money is an object for you, then what you buy sort of depends on what you'll get use out of. If you need some outdoors/urban stuff, the first one should be Villageworks, followed by either Sea or Arena, depending on the setting you're gaming in. If you need interior/dungeon stuff, and you have DungeonWorks Classic already, I'd say to get either Castles & Keeps or Pubs & Inns; you can use the walls from C&K for new-style Clip-it dungeons, and you'll have props out the wazoo. Lastly, if you're after straight hack n' slash dungeon environs, get Gothic Realms - some neat trap props, as well as a good "mood" set. Hope that helps! D ps, if you really feel like you need a castle, drop the five bucks - can't go wrong, I figure. Me, I still haven't bought CastleWorks; I'm holding out for the new version. |

My favorite set is C&K. I like it because its extremely versatile and generic looking enough to be used in a variety of game types. I also love the props. Gothic Realms is very cool but has that "skulls-on-everything" motif a la Games Workshop. Now for just plain cool looking I have to throw in for Seaworks. I have a Pro Masterboard and about half the set built so far and it looks just amazing. Of course, I'm running a 50 Fathoms game in a few weeks so I have a good use for it. Pubs and Inns is really neat also, but definitely the least useful of the sets. Villageworks is a given if you're doing any sort of urban fantasy. I made a pirate town with Villageworks and Seaworks and they fit together beautifully. |

Hi Count_Zero, Could you post some photos of your pirate town made from Seaworks and VillageWorks? I'm thinking of doing the same kind of thing. Thanks! |
