Around here, it's like this: "Honey, I'm going to put $20 on the Visa for the new WorldWorks set, okay?" "Sure, dear." "Err, that's $20 American, eh?" "Sure, dear." "Wanna see the pics on the website, first?" "No thanks, dear." ... or something like that. Just wait til she's finished her final exams this week, though. Then it'll be a different story, I'm sure. ![]() If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, distract them with homework. ;D D |

'Hello. My name is Auld Grump, and I'm a cardstock model addict.' 'Hello Auld Grump!' Sorry, for a moment I thought I was at a Cardstock Modeller's Anonymous meeting... My only excuse is that I enjoy building the models, and cardstock is very easy to modify. As a result I tend to giveaway the finished models after using them a couple of times, except for Generic Village Terrain, which I use for wargames and roleplaying games both. (The docks, derrick, and fortifications are likely to join the GVT that I keep around.) Because I kitbash I am likely to buy just about any set from WW. I have a few by other companies, both free and purchased, but WW is the one I am most likely to start futzing with, and the one that I start my mental modeling with. Interior Works is where most of the models begin in my head, adding other content as needed. The Auld Grump |
